AB-InBev was formed through successive mergers of three international brewing groups completed in 2008: Interbrew from Belgium, AmBev from Brazil, and Anheuser-Busch from the United States. In October 2015, Anheuser-Busch InBev announced a successful bid to acquire multinational competitor SABMiller. The new entity has approximately 500 beer brands in 50 countries as of January 2017.
AB-InBev was the world's largest brewer even before the acquisition of SABMiller and is now considered one of the largest fast-moving consumer goods companies in the world.
The AB-InBev Techofair took place in the US Headquarter in St. Louis, USA. Focusing on designing efficient and flexible processes with carbon zero as goal. AB-InBev will achieve this task by discussing possible cooperation with leading technology suppliers providing relevant solutions for energy, water and resource efficiency.
AB-InBev participated with 40+ key executives from its North American business with reprentatives from Supply Innovation, Procurement, Brewing and Packaging.
